Spring Has Arrive with An Update From the Neighborhood CU Foundation President

Hello there, Neighborhood CU Foundation friends,

Two of my favorite things are here – Spring blossoms and Financial Literacy Month!  The mission of the Neighborhood CU Foundation is to help Texans achieve financial prosperity, and April’s Financial Literacy Month celebrates that goal across the entire country.

I’m sure I’m not the only one who didn’t learn how to manage a budget or the importance of building credit in high school. We are working to fill that educational gap for people of all ages and April is a wonderful time to reset financial goals. If you or someone you know could benefit from free educational resources, I encourage them to start with our online, self-paced courses here on our website.

We’re also celebrating Financial Literacy Month with an extra free webinar! In April we’ll have two live virtual classes discussing the steps to financial freedom and retirement planning. If you’re interested in either of these classes, head over to our Facebook page for more information and to register for the free class.

As we continue to grow and spread more financial literacy resources to our communities, I would love to hear from you. If there is a specific need you see in your community that needs extra hands or additional supplies, please contact me. I’m always looking for new ways to get involved and can’t wait to hear what is going on in your neighborhood.

I am so happy you’re a part of this community and thank you for taking the time today to read a little bit about our upcoming events.

All the best,
