A Letter From the Neighborhood CU Foundation President

Hello there, Neighborhood CU Foundation friends,

I sincerely hope you and your family are enjoying your fall and staying safe. With hurricanes, fires, rising COVID-19 cases, there seem to be too many things outside of our control. The mission of the Neighborhood CU Foundation is to help Texans achieve financial prosperity, and as we all know financial health is very interconnected to physical and mental wellness. So, I want to provide information and resources to you that can help bring a sense of control back to your financial well-being.

You may not be fully aware of everything we offer to fulfill our mission or how your free membership can benefit you and your family. Even though we are still in the middle of our inaugural year as an organization, we have quite a few resources that are available to you.

  • Free Financial Literacy Webinars – Our team of experts provide live webinars to help answer questions on various financial topics. Follow us on Facebook or Instagram to keep up with these conversations.

  • Lea, our Virtual Financial Coach – Chat with Lea any time of day and ask her anything! She can help you create a plan to achieve your goals, answer questions about your credit score, and much more. Anything you talk to Lea about stays between you and Lea.

  • Financial Education Center – Take online courses about anything from budgeting to retirement to buying a home. Create a customized playlist of modules to learn what’s important to you or share with your family.

Please explore our website, neighborhoodcuf.org, and see what else we have to offer. As I mentioned, we are just getting started, and I will keep you updated with the latest information, events, or services we will have for you in the future.

The best way to keep up with what we have going on is to follow us on social media! We love Instagram and Facebook and can’t wait to chat with you online.

I am so happy you’re a part of this community and thank you for taking the time today to read a little bit about our passion project.

All the best,

Jessie Swendig

President
